More on . . . “It’s that time again” . . .
No, I’m not talking about the beginning of a brand new calendar year, but . . . the beginning of a new administration in the capitol building in Washington, D.C. President Donald J. Trump’s inauguration! It’s “that time!”
I’m not sure how much I will be watching the inauguration on television, but transitioning to a new administration with President Trump is exciting!
I believe we’re all tired of inflation, the open border, the increase in crime, and the woke culture that’s been forced upon us these last four years. And so, we look to President Trump to get us back to the image of America that we hold in our hearts.
January is getting off with a bang this year, with the inauguration of a new president, and the spectacular snowstorm we’ve just experienced this last week. It was difficult to measure the exact snowfall because of the gusty winds that kept shifting the snow around. However, here in Dover we were inundated with approximately six to eight inches.
And now, we’re bracing for an extreme drop in temperature during the next few days . . . prompting this remark that I heard from someone earlier, “We’re having a real winter this year!”
“Yes, we are,” was my response. “And we still have February to look forward to.”
Other exciting news . . . my first book of poetry, Standing in the Middle of the Road, will be released in just a few weeks! I hope you will watch for it! And, I hope you will read my devotional, “Guilty,” to be posted Tuesday, January 21, 2025 on christiandevotions.us. I am truly honored to have Christian Devotions do this.
But, let us not forget what is happening over in California with the wild fires and all the devastation. It is heartbreaking. Let us continue to hold everyone in our prayers.
There, but for the grace of God, are we.
Grace and peace to you,
Mary Emma
